The new academic year has started, and with it, our after-school programs are back in full swing!

The Malar Trust India team recently visited all our centres to meet with students and teachers, and as always, to reaffirm our shared belief: education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty.
We also had the opportunity to meet with mothers in several villages, strengthening our connection with the communities we serve.

At the end of each visit, we distributed notebooks to all the children, and schoolbags to those in need — small gestures that make a big difference.

We have also reactivated our free transport service from Kunnapattu and Panjartheerthi villages to Manamathi School, helping children reach school safely and regularly.
A quick update from Panjartheerthi: unfortunately, we had to leave the building we previously used for our after-school activities and struggled to find a new one. Thankfully, our dedicated teacher stepped in and offered to host the program at her home. She even ensures the children are safely escorted back to the tribal area after class.

We are deeply grateful for the resilience and commitment of our staff and the communities we serve
