For the academic year 2025–2026, Malar Trust India has renewed its commitment to education by awarding scholarships totaling around 9 lakh rupees to economically disadvantaged yet talented students.
Thanks to this support, many young people are able to continue their studies without interruption and keep their aspirations alive.
M. grew up in a humble tribal family. Both of his parents worked in wedding venues cleaning halls, clearing tables after meals and washing utensils. Watching them perform such physically demanding labor left a deep impression on him and motivated him to study hard, determined to build a better future for him and his family.

Sreebha is a girl who lives in a hut with her mentally disabled father, her mother and her younger sister who is still studying; when we met her, only her mother had a simple job and the family economic situation was not good.
Since 2020, thanks to Malar Trust scholarship program, she has been able to attend a college professional course as dialysis technician.
She graduated in 2023.
This is the story of Divya Barathi, one of the students who graduated thanks to our scholarships – and whose results give prestige to our program.
In December last year, Malar Trust made scholarship awards to 63 students – worth 10 lahks rupees – to pay for their schooling in 2020/2021. The 33 new scholarship students and 30 existing ones come from all age groups, from primary school up to college.
