A Helping Hand to Restart: Prakash’s Project

Prakash, 26, used to work as a sculptor decorating temples. He was married and had a young child. Two years ago, he suffered a serious motorcycle accident, hitting his head and spending a long time in a coma. The accident left the right side of his body mostly paralyzed, making it difficult for him to walk or use his right arm and hand. After the accident, Prakash’s wife took their child and left him, returning to live with her parents.

A story of success

Sreebha is a girl who lives in a hut with her mentally disabled father, her mother and her younger sister who is still studying; when we met her, only her mother had a simple job and the family economic situation was not good.

Since 2020, thanks to Malar Trust scholarship program, she has been able to attend a college professional course as dialysis technician.

She graduated in 2023.
